RATNAGIRI REFINERY AND PETROCHEMICALS LTD.(RRPCL) SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd is planning to set up Refinery and Petrochemicals complex at Rajapur and Devgad Taluka of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurga District, respectively. A huge manpower will be required during construction and operational stage. Major national and global partners will be involved in various activities of the project.

The scale of the RRPCL project is so huge that it will contribute 2% of India's GDP. India's rapid economic growth has led to a massive demand for vocational skills across traditional as well as new and emerging sectors. Simultaneously, there is a need to ensure that this growth exclusively creates positive impact on poverty levels. Besides this, among young and growing labour force, there is a significant shortage of skilled manpower, essentially due to gaps in skill availability and skill needs. Accelerating growth and providing productive employment for the continuously increasing labour force is an integral part of this objective.

The objective is to enable many youth and potential work force to take up industry-relevant skill training and self-developmental earning avenues, that will help them in securing a better livelihood.

This phase-wise training will be given free of cost with the initiatives of Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. in association with our business partners and promoters.




(PHASE I)

(For 675 candidates)

During this phase, training will be conducted for total 675 candidates through Larsen and Toubro (L&T), Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) and Yuva Parivartan.

    (A) Larsen and Toubro (L&T) (500 candidates)- Annexure I
  • (1) Training of youth by M/s L&T at their training center at Panvel. This training is sponsored by our business partner M/s L&T. - 300 candidates
  • (2) Training of Females by M/s L&T at suitable location in Ratnagiri District. - 200 candidates
(B) Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS) (75 candidates)- Annexure II

Youth will be trained by IL&FS at their training center at Mhasala, Raigadh and near Rajapur Taluka. This training is sponsored by our promoter organization Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. - 75 candidates

(C)Yuva Parivartan (100 candidates) - Annexure III

100 candidates will be trained at suitable place in Rajapur Taluka.




ANNEXURE I

Larson and Toubro

Skill Development Programme for 500 candidates at Construction Training Institute, Panvel

  • Duration of course is one year

Note:
1. Tailoring & Para Nursing Courses will be conducted at Rajapur Taluka.
2. After successful completion of Tailoring course, sewing machine will be provided to each trainee on 75:25 % contribution where in 75% cost will be borne by LTHE & 25 % by each beneficiary.
3. In absence of sufficient number of candidates for any particular trade the concerned trade will be treated as cancelled and the relevant candidates will be allowed to choose any other option.




ANNEXURE II

Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL&FS)

  • The selection is completely based on the Counselling session & Entry Gate Assessment in which candidate has to score minimum 70% to qualify.
  • During the training period, 90% of attendance is compulsory for candidate to appear for assessments.
  • The candidate must be ready to take up the placement as soon as the course gets complete & should be ready to relocate to Mumbai & Pune for taking up jobs.
  • The candidate should retain on jobs for minimum 6 months from Date of Joining.
