Environment friendly & Green Refinery

Once completed, RRPCL will set a new industrial benchmark for operational efficiency, self-sufficiency in power and utilities, with global standards in environment and safety management.

The refinery complex would also be one of the greenest complexes with stringent emission control and water conservation measures. With a view to minimize the impact of the project on the environment, effective pollution control measures are being built at the design stage itself to minimize effluent generation at source.

RRPCL will be one of the most advanced Refineries in the world meeting extremely stringent standards for emissions, zero discharge of waste water and use of other green resources. The products produced out of the Refinery will also meet the most advanced BS-VI plus (Euro VI) norms which is the most advanced specification around the world designed for minimum emissions even in usages such as, automobiles and industries. Moreover this Refinery will be producing only clean fuels which produce very limited emissions in use. There will also be production of petrochemical products from this project, which are used for producing a number of ordinary household items such as, furniture, textiles, automobiles, packaging, home appliances etc.

RRPCL is committed to protecting the environment and maintain a sustainable standard of living for the people in the region. In this endeavor, RRPCL would develop at least 30% of the area as green belt premises. Moreover, RRPCL will also be connected directly to the pollution monitoring centers of the country to have a continuous monitoring of the emission levels in the environment. There is hence, a minimal impact of the refinery operations on the agricultural crops of the region including mango and cashew.
